The way how dialogues in old French films are so inherently fragmented bemuses me. Fragmented in content yet delivered so coherently and naturally and candidly. A series of impromptu seamlessly strung together, heart of conversation moving so freely from topic to topic, randomness completely taken for its appeal. I love it when people talk like this.
